Privacy

Plain English first
We're a small group of dads building a place where other dads can be honest. That means we take privacy seriously — because honesty only happens where it's safe.
We don't sell your data. We don't advertise on this site. We don't share your stories outside your guild without your say-so. If we ever change any of that, we'll tell you first and give you a way out.
What we collect
- Account basics: name, email, profile photo from Google sign-in.
- What you post: messages, prayer requests, wins, gratitude notes, blessings, photos.
- Your guild: who you meet with, when, where (only if you choose to share).
- Your kids' info, if you add it:first name, age, prayer focus. Stored only because you typed it. Never visible outside your guild without you setting it that way explicitly. Never used for ads. We'll talk about kids' data more below.
- Conversations with our AI advisor: we keep them so we can improve the advisor and so the Stewardship Council can audit responses for tone and safety. Never used to train external models.
- Basic site analytics: page views, browser type, country. No tracking pixels. No ad networks.
Who sees what
By default, everything you post is visible only to your guild — the four to twelve dads you meet with regularly. You can mark specific things as community-visible (like a win you want to celebrate publicly) by tapping the toggle when you post.
We never sell your data. We never share it with advertisers. We don't even have advertisers. The only people inside The Guild who can see your posts are: you, your guild members, and the Stewardship Council (only if a kid-safety or pastoral-crisis issue is raised — see our Council Protocol).
About your kids
The Guild is for dads. We don't allow children to create accounts. The site isn't designed for children to use directly.
You — the dad — may add notes about your kids: first names, ages, prayer focus, a strength you're trying to nurture. This is your journal, visible only to you unless you choose to share with your guild. We never display kids' data outside your guild. We never market to your kids.
If you ever want all of your kids' data deleted, email us at hello@guilddads.org and we'll erase it within seven days.
Who we work with
To run the site, we use a small set of trusted providers:
- Clerk — sign-in and account management
- Google — OAuth sign-in (only if you choose it)
- Neon — Postgres database
- Supabase — file storage for photos
- Vercel — hosting and analytics
- Resend — transactional email
- Anthropic — the AI behind the Guild Advisor
Each holds your data only as needed to deliver the service. None of them sell your data either.
Your rights
- See your data.Email us; we'll send you a full export.
- Edit your data. You can edit posts within 24 hours of writing. After that, contact us if something needs to change.
- Delete your data. You can delete your own posts anytime. To delete your full account and all associated kids' data, email us.
- Take it elsewhere.Your account is yours. Your stories are yours. We'll help you take everything with you if you leave.
Security
All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Sign-ins use industry-standard OAuth. We follow the principle of least access: only the founders and our security-cleared engineers can access production data, and every access is logged.
Changes
If we update this policy in any meaningful way, we'll email every active member at least 14 days before the change takes effect. You can always leave.
